ACCESSIBILITY

Afro Plus Fest is committed to creating an inclusive and accessible festival experience for all guests. We are continuously working to improve accessibility across the festival grounds and guest experience.

 

If you have accessibility-related questions not covered here, please contact our team prior to the event. We welcome feedback and will do our best to accommodate guests with disabilities and accessibility needs.

 

Wheelchair Accessibility

​

Northwest Stadium Festival Grounds is navigable for guests with mobility disabilities. The festival grounds consist primarily of paved surfaces with some outdoor terrain throughout the footprint.

​

Accessible routes will connect:

​

  • Festival entrances

  • Parking areas

  • Viewing platforms

  • Food & beverage areas

  • Activation zones

  • Restrooms

  • VIP & GA+ areas

​

Guests should be prepared for outdoor conditions including heat, weather changes, and uneven surfaces in select areas.

​

We encourage guests to bring personal mobility devices, wheelchairs, scooters, walkers, canes, or crutches as needed.

​

Please note:

​

  • Afro Plus Fest will not provide wheelchair or scooter rentals

  • Guests should bring all necessary charging equipment and accessories

​

Accessible Parking

​

Limited ADA parking will be available onsite on a first-come, first-served basis.

​

Requirements:

​

  • Valid ADA placard, permit, or license plate

  • Festival parking pass

  • ADA credential holder must be present in vehicle

​

Parking inventory is limited and expected to sell out.

​

Accessible Entry

​

Dedicated accessible entry lanes will be available at festival entrances.

​

Guests requiring accessibility services should proceed through the ADA/Accessibility entry lane and then visit the Accessibility Services Hub after entering the festival grounds.

​

Accessibility Services Hub

​

Accessibility Services Hubs will be available onsite to assist guests requiring accommodations or accessibility-related support.

​

At the hub, guests may:

​

  • Request accessibility accommodations

  • Receive accessibility wristbands

  • Ask questions regarding festival accessibility

  • Receive information regarding accessible viewing areas and services

 

Accessible Viewing Areas

​

Accessible viewing areas will be available at designated stages throughout the festival.

​

Viewing area policies:

​

  • Seating is first-come, first-served

  • Guests may not save spaces

  • Companion access may be limited during peak capacity

  • Smoking is prohibited within viewing areas

​

Service Animals

​

Service animals are permitted throughout the festival grounds.

​

Pets, emotional support animals, therapy animals, and companion animals are not permitted.

​

All service animals:

​

  • Must remain under handler control at all times

  • Must be leashed, harnessed, or otherwise controlled

  • Must be housebroken

  • May require verification through the Accessibility Services Hub prior to entry

​

Handlers are fully responsible for their service animals throughout the event.

​

Effective Communication Requests

​

Afro Plus Fest accepts requests for accessibility-related communication accommodations including:

​

  • Large-print materials

  • Guided assistance

  • Assistive listening accommodations

  • Other accessibility support services

​

Requests should be submitted at least 30 days prior to the event to allow adequate preparation time.
 

Medical Services

​

Medical tents and EMT teams will be available throughout the festival grounds during all event hours.

​

If you require medical assistance at any time, please notify:

​

  • Festival staff

  • Security personnel

  • Medical teams

  • Guest experience staff

​

Special Dietary Needs​

Food vendors throughout the festival will offer a variety of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free selections where available.

​

Prescription Medications

​

Prescription medications are permitted only when:

​

  • In original labeled containers

  • Matching the guest’s government-issued ID

  • Brought in reasonable quantities for personal use

​

All medications are subject to security and medical review upon entry.

​
