HEALTH & WELLNESS
Afro Plus Fest is built around music, culture, energy, and community — and we want everyone to have an unforgettable weekend safely and responsibly.
Please take care of yourself and the people around you throughout the festival.
Move Smart
Large festivals can get crowded quickly, especially during peak performance times.
We recommend:
-
Staying connected with your group
-
Picking a meeting location ahead of time
-
Keeping your phone charged
-
Looking out for one another throughout the weekend
If someone needs help, contact festival staff, security, or medical immediately.
Dress for the Weekend
Afro Plus Fest is a full-day outdoor experience with a lot of movement, walking, and dancing.
We strongly recommend:
-
Comfortable footwear
-
Breathable clothing
-
Sunscreen
-
Hydration packs or reusable water bottles
And seriously… avoid heels if possible 😅
Hydration Matters
Hydration stations will be available throughout the festival grounds free of charge.
Please drink water consistently throughout the day, especially during high temperatures and long periods of activity.
Guests may refill:
-
Reusable water bottles
-
Approved hydration packs
-
Empty approved beverage containers
Hydration station locations will be marked on the festival map.
Wellness & Guest Support
Guest experience teams, roaming support staff, medical personnel, and festival operations teams will be active throughout the grounds during all event hours.
If you:
-
Feel overwhelmed
-
Need assistance
-
Lose your group
-
Need medical help
-
Feel unsafe or uncomfortable
Please approach any staff member immediately.
Medical Services
Medical tents and EMT teams will be located throughout the festival grounds and available all weekend.
Please seek medical attention immediately if you or someone around you experiences:
-
Dizziness
-
Dehydration
-
Heat exhaustion
-
Difficulty breathing
-
Panic or distress
-
Vomiting
-
Unresponsiveness
Your safety is always the priority.
Alcohol & Substance Awareness
Afro Plus Fest has a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding illegal substances.
If you choose to drink alcohol, please do so responsibly and know your limits. Heat, long festival hours, and dehydration can intensify alcohol consumption very quickly.
Take Care of Each Other
Afro Plus Fest is a community experience.
Please:
-
Respect one another
-
Check in on your friends
-
Seek help immediately if someone appears unwell
You will never get in trouble for helping someone receive medical attention.
We want everyone to leave the festival safely with incredible memories from the weekend.
