Afro Plus was founded by a group of first-generation Africans from across the diaspora who came together with a shared ambition to elevate the standard of events, community involvement, and networking across the diaspora in the DMV area. We aim to eventually expand our impact throughout the entire United States.

 

Our organization was officially birthed and given the name Afro Plus in 2022, after we had been orchestrating various successful events and concerts including Heat Wave, Lagos Island DC, and many others  for almost a decade. We've worked with artists such as Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Adekunle Gold, ASAKE, and TENI, to name a few.

 

This rich history of nearly ten years of active engagement and celebration has positioned us as a pivotal force in the diaspora community. We strive to provide more than just events—our mission extends into promoting cultural awareness, education, and community service, enhancing the connections and enriching the experiences of all those involved.
